‘ARMSTRONG’ Gets Premiere Party and Release

Los Angeles, CA (September 19th, 2017) – Directing duo Nick Lund-Ulrich and Kerry Carlock, are hosting the premiere release party for their latest feature film ‘Armstrong’, which is set to be available to buy in Wal-Mart, and on all digital platforms from October 3rd, 2017.

Screen Media acquired the domestic rights to ‘Armstrong’, a female-driven superhero origin film, starring Vicky Jeudy (Orange is the New Black), Shawn Parsons (Queen Sugar) and Jason Antoon (Minority Report). Other cast members include, Kevin Pollak, Jamie M Fox, and Cherise Boothe.

On her first night as an EMT, Lauren (Vicky Jeudy), an ex-addict trying to atone for her brother’s death, is partnered with Eddie (Jason Antoon), a jaded cynic, exiled to the graveyard shift. Their first call, a mysterious warehouse explosion, sends them into the industrial wilderness outside of Los Angeles. On the way, they’re stopped by a wounded drifter, Armstrong (Shawn Parsons). When trying to contact dispatch, they realize that the radio and cell phones aren’t working and they’re on their own. Once in the ambulance, Armstrong begins to exhibit strange behavior and becomes violent. It is revealed that Armstrong is a high-tech vigilante on a key mission: to stop a murderous doomsday cult, The Fifth Sun, from detonating a series of nuclear devices underneath Los Angeles to cause catastrophic earthquakes. To complete his mission, Armstrong needs the help of Lauren and Eddie, and so the pair are pulled into a hidden world.

The premiere party was a blast and I had a chance to interview the cast and crew on the red carpet. Nicholas Lund-Ulrich and Kerry Carlock (Directors/producers) talked about the challenges of working together,. Nick Rufca and I wondered if the story he wrote was going to match the story on the screen. Jason Antoon (Claws) gave me some tips about New Orleans. Kevin Pollak (The Usual Suspects) did my job and asked the questions, and these gorgeous women Alex Noel and Actress Lakshmi Devy inspired me (I also served as Indian translator!).
