dineL.A. Restaurant Week July 12 – 26, 2019 [ART’S TABLE]

July 12, 2019 – dineL.A. Restaurant Week just started! More than 400 restaurants in Los Angeles are participating in this event.

The Experienced Magazine staff were invited at a contemporary American restaurant in Santa Monica, Art’s Table. We have been here before and we already had a great experienced.

At 5 pm on  Friday sunny and warm evening, a lot of customers are having a good time at outside patio area. We sat inside and the manager Andrew Manart welcomed us. Our friendly server Quentin B. remembered us and took care of us right away.

Art’s Table is offering a 3-course dinner that includes a complimentary glass of wine ($49/person). You can view the menu here.

Complimentary wine: Glass of Orchard Lane Sauvignon Blanc or Scarpetta Frico Rosso Sangiovese.

Starter:

Tony Montana Corn – cuban style charred corn, cilantro aioli, chili oil, queso fresco, lime.
Art’s Garlic guacamole Toast – manchego, chervil pistou, roasted tomato, crostini.

Tony Montana Corn was very sweet and match with creamy cilantro aioli. You can’t stop eating when you start to bite! Plenty of guacamole on the Art’s Garlic Guacamole Toasts.

Main:

Chicken Pesto Cavatappi – pesto alfredo, sauteed mushrooms, fresh tomato, micro basil, grilled chicken, cavatappi pasta.
Wild Local Sea Bass – jasmine baby carrots, kabocha squash puree, black garlic chili sauce, gremolata

Their meat and seafood are sustainable, hormone-free, grass-fed and/or free range, they use produce from local farmers.

Very satisfying portion of Chicken Pesto Cavatappi. Nice flavor of basil pesto. Very colorful presentation of Wild Local Sea Bass. I wished they could have used the plain white plate for this. Sea Bass was moist and tender, kabocha squash puree was the bottom of the sea bass and great flavor to eat together with sea bass!

Dessert:

Key Lime Pie
Cheesecake
Croissant Bread Pudding

Great choice of dessert. I wonder which dessert do customers would choose the most? Refreshing taste of Key Lime Pie? Can’t go wrong Cheesecake? Famous Croissant Bread Pudding? I tasted them all, and liked the Bread Pudding very much! I can’t forget the taste. Must try dessert at Art’s Table!

By the time of 6:30pm, the restaurant was full of customers.

dineLA menu available Monday – Sunday 4pm – 10:30pm $49 per person

They also have Social “Happy” Hour 3pm – 6pm daily! Selected Beers, Wines and Cocktails are $6 each, and reasonable mini bites selection!
