The Newport Beach Film Festival presented a Latin Showcase on May 2nd, 2018.
Four Latino movies were screened at the Triangle: The Desert Bride (Chile), The Grand Promise (Mexico), Rust (Brazil) and Under the Same Moon (Mexico) who was celebrating their 10th Anniversary. We talked to Ligiah Villalobos who wrote the screenplay.
The night ended at Time Nightclub with a Latino celebration hosted by Herradura Tequila and Tito’s Vodka. Mariachi Divas delighted us with a beautiful performance. Guest also enjoy Mexican food, cuban food, coffee and even granola bars. It was a surprise to find out you can also get a massage, a caricature drawn or a henna tattoo (Mine says What the hell did she say? Can you read it?)
