(EXPERIENCE MAGAZINE) — Beverly Hills, CA — The Experience Magazine recently went to a Sneak Peak screening of the Lionsgate movie Crescent City at the Fine Arts Theater in Beverly Hills. This movie was directed by Raja Collins. He spoke to the packed house before the screening asked everyone not to reveal who the killer is.
It’s a real Who Done It! People were wearing their upscale casual attire at this exclusive event. Director Raja Collins was on the red carpet with lots of friends, family and cast members. Writer Rich Ronat also spoke before the screening and made some insightful comments. Alex Salahi does an amazing job with the cinematography.
So without giving away too much, this movie features the up and coming Australian actress, Nicky Whalen in one of the central roles. She’s very capable of handling the bad guys. A-listers Terrance Howard and Esai Morales play cops that are working the grizzly murder case in the vein of David Fincher’s movie Seven. This film gets into the third act that leaves you guessing who the real killer is.
Alec Baldwin is back! Alec plays a police chief reminiscent of his role in the Departed. Alec drops enough F bombs to establish that this police chief is a no nonsense guy. Esai Morales takes risks in this movie. Esai most recently played the bad guy in Mission Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One. In Crescent City Esai plays a cop and Terrence Howard‘s partner. Terrence Howard turns in a great performance as a cop who must navigate an unstable world. He is searching for a serial killer with a habit of brutality and twisted psychedelics.
The killer keeps the whole town on edge as the police race to solve these murders as the bodies pile up. Terrence Howard’s past comes back to haunt him. Will he solve this mystery before it’s too late?
Crescent City was a lot of fun. It’s thrilling seeing all of these great actors and a cool thriller. It was fun seeing this on the big screen. I’ll watch it again when it appears on TV.
