Western Foodservice and Hospitality Expo is an annual event devoted to the Western US restaurant, foodservice and hospitality market.

Hundreds of restaurant and foodservice industry professionals attend this event to gain knowledge of newest products, latest trends, menu and event ideas, legal issues for restaurant owners and managers, and to network with vendors and service providers.

The event is sponsored by the California Restaurant Association.

Special events included keynote presentation with Rodney Eckerman, Torch award presentation with Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, Food Trentds Experience, Culinary Demonstration Theater, California Craft Brewers Pavilion, Internationak Showcase, Japan Pavilion, Latino Foods Pavilion, New Product Showcase.

Featured new products showcase participants: Brutus Industrial Equipment LLC, Dynamic Coatings, Inc, Fresh Origins LLC, Gunter Wilhelm, ITouch Faucets, Kraft, Menuvative, Pure Napkin California, Spindrift Beverage Co., Swipely, Torani, Zojirushi America Corp.

When I walked in I saw people waiting a line. I walked towards to the crowds and Honey Smoked Fish Company was serving fresh salad and their smoked salmon. I also decided to stand in line! I liked the smoky flavored  smoked salmon and their energy of promoting their product! The next aisle, I found Japan Pavilion. Japanese food and products are always special. I’m very interested in their products. In this expo, I saw 3 Japanese knife companies, Aoki Hamono Seisakusho Co., Ltd, Kawamura Hamono Co., Ltd., and Japanese Knife Imports. Japanese knives are more diverse in design, aesthetic style, and materials than any other knife making tradition in the world.

At Food Trends Experience area, exhibitors are offering healthy choices – gluten free, coconut products, and natural and organic food. Probiotic Lifeway Kefir is my favorite. All natural, gluten free, 99% lactose free!

If your restaurant use 30 dozen eggs a day, I recommend Egg King machine! Egg breaking machine cracks, extracts and blends in 1 minute!
