Yom HaShoah Commemoration on Holocaust Remembrance Day at the Holocaust Museum

(EXPERIENCE MAGAZINE)  Los Angeles, CA  Mayor Karen Bass and other dignitaries from all over the world stopped by the Holocaust Museum to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the deportation of Hungarian Jews to Auschwitz.

The line up of speakers included;

Mike Burstyn, Master of Ceremonies • Hungarian-born Mary Bauer, survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau, a death march, and Ravensbrück Concentration Camp • Keynote remarks by Rabbi Steve Leder, Senior Rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple • A performance by musicians of the Colburn School led by James Conlon of the Los Angeles Opera

• Los Angeles City Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky

Each speaker gave a speech about what this day means to them. It was great way to never forget the atrocities that happened during the Holocaust when 6 million Jewish people were murdered. Over a million children were murded.
