NATURAL FOODS EXPO WEST 2024

(EXPERIENCE MAGAZINE) — March is the most wonderful time of the year, not only because it is the start of spring, BUT ALSO because it marks the return of NATURAL FOODS EXPO WEST! If you don’t already know, Expo West is a trade show featuring natural products all the way from food to cleaning supplies; Natural Foods Expo West truly has it all! I’m going to share my top 2 products that I found this year.

Category: Beverages

Non-alcoholic beverages have been HOT this year. Folks are more health conscious than ever and increasingly picky about what goes in their body – as they should be! There was an entire show room focused on this, showcasing over 40 different non-alcoholic beverage companies! My favorite one that I tried was from a company called Parch. I truly enjoyed all the flavors, which consisted of Spiced Piñarita, Prickly Paloma, and Desert Margarita. They are all agave based and had tequila or mezcal vibes; sooooo refreshing and delicious! Instead of alcohol, they add 185 mg of their custom blend of adaptogens, including Ashwagandha, L-Theanine, and American Ginseng, to optimize your body’s natural functions. These adaptogens are sustainably-sources and GRAS-certified! Between the taste and the health benefits, it’s no wonder it made the top of my list!

When it comes to food, I am a little biased since I do live with Celiac Disease. This years #1 food item for me was the gluten/vegan free churro from San Diablo. Churros are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE dessert and now I can finally have it! It has literally been YEARS since I have had one, so you can only imagine my excitement. Don’t worry, they also make a regular version for individuals that can enjoy gluten.

They are still working on getting their premade churros on store shelves *tear*, but if you go to their website they sell churro making kits with gluten free and vegan recipes! If you can’t wait for these churros to hit the shelves and are a Los Angeles local, you can try their churros at the restaurant Padres in Long Beach.
