Gallery Grand Opening Benefiting the Stan Lee Foundation     Los Angeles, Calif. – On December 14, 2014QART.COM, the online fine art gallery and auction site, celebrates the opening of their first physical showroom with an event benefiting the Stan Lee Foundation.   Situated on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Via Marina, the new 7,500 sq ft showroom featuresartwork from their online gallery, including worksfrom independent artists and photographers, as well as famous artists such as Peter Max, Tom Everhart and Wyland. In addition, the Marina del Rey locationhas several added bonuses, including a dark room with glow-in-the-dark art from artists Jean Claude Novaro, Ken Shotwell and Ara Berberyan.   Leading up to the event, Marvel Artworks limited-edition artist proofs (custom-framed and signed by Stan Lee), are up for auction on QART.COM’s website – all proceeds benefiting the Stan Lee Foundation.  Numerous pieces will be on display during the event, as guests will have the opportunity to bid on their phones before the auction closes that evening.   Also during QART.COM Unveiled, guests will experience live paintings from artists Marta Wiley and Martin Katon, and a poster signing from internationally-renowned painter Alexander Chen.And the first 500 guests will take home a mini decorative framed painting.   QART.COM, founded in 2006 by brothers Eli and Noah Weisman, has quickly become the largest online marketplace for fine art on the internet, and now with their new location in Marina del Rey, the public has an opportunity to view the art up close and personal. “It was only a matter of time before we opened a physical location,” states Eli. “Anyone can purchase art on our website at a set sale price, or place a bid in our auction section. But with our new location, the public has an opportunity to see some of the works in person.”   “Whether you’re an art collector or new to the art world, we have something for everyone,” states Noah. “We carry thousands of unique pieces, as well as entire editions, and even have daily auctionsonline starting at just $1. Our upcoming grand opening event will highlight some of our unique works, while we roundup our Marvel Artworksauction for the Stan Lee Foundation, and introduce our gallery to the community.”   WHAT:  Live paintings from several artists, hors d’oeuvres, wine and giveaways   WHEN: Sunday, December 14, 5:00PM – 8:00PM   WHERE: QART.COM480 W. Update:

The evening was a huge success, with hundreds of guests in attendance. Numerous artists were also on hand such as Ara Berberyan (see attached for picture of him and his wife in front of his paintings), Marta Wiley who was drawing watercolor portraits of guests, Martin Katon was in the back of the gallery painting incredible wildlife pictures, and artist Alexander Chen was signing his posters for guests to take home.
