(EXPERIENCE MAGAZINE) — Long Beach, CA — Looking for a gastronomic adventure that will tantalise your taste buds and leave you craving for more? Look no further than Michael’s on Naples. The Experience Magazine stopped by during DineLA to sample the specially curated 4-course prix-fixe menu that was super tasty and a lot of fun.

As you step into the restaurant, you’ll be greeted by an ambiance that strikes the perfect balance between high-end sophistication and warm accessibility. With its modern Italian decor and the rooftop dining area, Michael’s on Naples is the ideal place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a memorable meal. Michael’s on Naples is a great place for old friends getting together. We sat on the rooftop and watched the sun setting over Long Beach. The bar upstairs is really popular. People were sipping wine and enjoying gourmet pizza. For cocktails, Erwin tried the Cetriolo Terme. It features Wheatley vodka, Fiorente elderflower, cucumber, mint, lime and cane sugar. This was a special drink and Erwin said it was really tasty.

I had the Zero Proof Sbaglia-“NO.” Our server said it’s like a Negroni. She was right. It has Ritual Non-Alcoholic Aperitif, Mionetto Non-Alcoholic Prosecco and juniper berries. Really flavorful and tastes like a real cocktail. I also tried the Ducktail which was so good. It had a hint of chili oil, which gave it a little kick. I really liked the Ducktail.

The DineLA menu offered a $65 course or a $105 course with wine parring. We chose the $65 course. Erwin ordered for his Primiri the Cavatelli. It was delicious. This dish featured hand rolled pasta, corn purée and guanciale. Chef Eric Samaniego does a great job balancing flavors. Erwin asked the chef for a vegan Cavatelli and it is the best vegan pasta dish that we’ve had in Long Beach. You have to check out Michael’s on Naples for their pasta.

For the Secondi, Erwin tried the Grilled Swordfish. This featured white bean purée and peach gremolata. It was expertly prepared and presented. It was devoured.
For Antipasti, we had Caponata Burrata. This was delicious. It has roasted eggplant, peppers, golden raisins on a carta di musica cracker. This was so good!

For Dolce, or dessert, we had the Ciambella which is fried potato donut and raspberry purée. I had the sorbet for a vegan desert. This was so tasty and perfect end for our diner. The Ciambella is a delightful treat that combines sweetness and texture in a perfect balance.

I have to say this is one of the best Vegan spots I’ve been to even though they aren’t really a vegan restaurant. Chef Eric is a great chef that can make top level dishes own the fly while catering to a packed house.
