Renowned designer Max Azria of BCBG supports designer Irina Aidinyan for Irucci & Aniko’s Launch and Fashion Show

I had the honor of recently hosting Irucci & Aniko’s official launch and fashion show at Bellaire Banquet Hall. I had an amazing time hosting this event. Everything from the innovative fashions and bold designs of the clothes was top notch. It was a real whimsical and fun type of haute couture. And what an experience to have the one and only Max Azria, a true modern icon of fashion at an event that I hosted…pinch me, I’m dreaming. I also think Lousine Karibian, the founder and president of the World Networks, did a fine job of putting it all together.

“I find this event to be really exciting and can’t wait to watch fashion on the runway,” said award-winning casting director and producer Valerie McCaffrey (American History X, From Above). Over 400 guests including fashion, beauty and entertainment professionals attended the event and were completely in awe of the star studded red carpet, the quality of the high caliber crowd and the overwhelming support of international press. Celebrated designer Max Azria of BCBG fame came out to support the show and check out the great designs. Renowned celebrities such as Ken Davitian (Borat, The Artist), Apick Youssefian (The Keeper: The Legend of Omar Khayyam, The Cry of the Village), Tanya Young Williams (Basketball Wives), Jack Topalian (Betrayal, NCIS: Los Angeles), designer and artist Alexandre Dorriz and countless other VIPs were in attendance.

One of the most incredible parts of the event was the diversity of the crowd. Fashion editors, bloggers, designers, experts, business moguls and alike from Armenia, Russia, China, Latin America, Iran, and various other nations were present at the event.

“I’m very excited. It’s the first time in our community that an Armenian designer has had a show of this caliber and with so much interest,” said Irina Aidinyan. “I was very, very happy to have my daughter Mary Sarkissian’s designs be a part of the show.” As for the attendance of iconic designer Max Azria, Aidinyan said,” He’s our friend and he likes my designs. That’s why he came and stayed for the whole event. I really appreciate it that he made it out to our show.”

“I was so excited as it was my first show, and a bit nervous too. As the days went by with planning the show and designing all the garments, although it was my first show, I felt like this is my opportunity to show my talent, especially with Max Azria sitting in the audience. He is one of my favorite designers and I really look up to him. It was hard choosing which of my designs to showcase, but I hope I can present more at our next show,” said Sarkissian.

Guests enjoyed a live performance by award-winning Australian pop star Katja Glieson along with a breathtaking romantic dance act by Karavan Dance Studio of Glendale, CA.

“It felt great to host this event. Anytime Lousine asks me to host, I say yes, no questions asked,” said co-host Cameron Penny. As for what part of the show he enjoyed the most, he exclaimed, without skipping a beat,” The bikini show was at the top of my list!”

As for future projects, this glamorous fashionista who looks like a young Zsa Zsa Gabor in looks and elegant style said, “Angelina Dean, who designs for Oprah and many other big celebrities, really wants to collaborate with me.”

Special thanks were given to Beyond Beauty Parlor and AML Academy founder and president Alice Atakhanian and her hard working team who provided wonderful hair and makeup services for the beautiful models. Try Now Wig generously donated hair extensions for the fierce looks the models rocked on the runway.

This event’s generous sponsors and supporters were Bellaire Banquet Hall, Mr. Martin, Stepanyan Surgical Arts Center, Martinian and Associates, National Career College, The World Networks, Platinum Motorsports, Karina’s Cake House, Secret Nightlife Society, American Fixtures and Design, Noy Bakery, Exquisite Catering, Infinite Dental Wellness, Nelly’s Bail Bonds, Romonov Restaurant and Lounge, Royal Gor Studio, Deluxe Logistics Inc., and Signature Auto.
