Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama 2013 illuminated downtown Los Angeles with thisyear’s theme “Fashion in a New Light” at the Orpheum Theatre on Thursday, September  12th. The star-studded fundraiser, which also visits Minneapolis, Chicago and San Francisco, brought together musical performances, the best of fall fashion, and the most glam after-party in town for one exceptional evening to raise awareness and funds for long-standing partner AIDS          Project Los Angeles (APLA). Founded in 1983, APLA has grown to become one of the largest and most effective AIDS service organizations in the nation, currently serving more than 11,000 people annually with first-rate HIV/AIDS care and prevention programs.  Starring in this year’s show was multi-platinum pop-powerhouse Backstreet Boys. Cirque du Soleil, a group that has brought wonder and delight to more than 100 million spectators in over 40 countries on six continents, amazed the audience with elements from Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Also performing was Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star contest winner, The Summer Set, a five-member punk rock group originally formed by two Arizona-based brothers who started out writing tunes inspired by Jimmy Eat World and The Format.
