Beverly Hills, CA (October 14, 2024) – Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills will present a Free Screening of the U.S. Premiere of the 60-minute documentary film, “Oz’s List,” The Journey of Oz Davidian, on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. on the Stephen Cloobeck Stage at the Saban Theatre, 8440 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA 90211. The screening, which will be followed by a Q&A with Oz Davidian and the filmmakers led by Rabbi David Baron, is free of charge and open to the general public, but reservations are required. Rabbi David Baron said, “The Temple of the Arts is proud to present the U.S. Premiere of the film, ‘Oz’s List,’ documenting the heroic actions of a courageous farmer from Southern Israel, Oz Davidian, who fearlessly drove 15 times into the relentless onslaught of gunfire to save 120 young people from the Hamas Terrorist Attack on the Nova Music Festival in Israel on October 7, 2023. Oz Davidian’s selfless actions stand out and are an inspiration for us all in these troubled times we are living in.”
Oz Davidian said, “The biggest life lesson I learned from doing what I did, was learning the true meaning of brotherly love. It was the ultimate sacrifice. The experience was dangerous and frightening. I consider the young people I rescued during this mission as my children now. In all the gunfire that day, there was only one bullet that pierced my pickup truck while I drove 15 times into the Nova Music Festival on October 7, 2023 to help bring people to safety. I feel God’s hand was on my vehicle, given the fact that I am still alive today to talk about what happened to me.”
Producers Reshet13, a leading Israeli television network, and Sluski Productions present a Yossi Eli and Gidi Maron film, “Oz’s List,” The Journey of Oz Davidian, co-created by Yossi Eli, directed Gidi Maron, who also is the screenwriter, featuring Oz Davidian, with cinematography by David Zarif. The 60-minute documentary film is in Hebrew with English subtitles. The FREE screening at the Saban Theatre on October 21, 2024 will be followed by Question and Answer Session led by Rabbi David Baron with Oz Davidian and the filmmakers.
More About The Film, “Oz’s List”:On October 7, 2023, Oz Davidian emerged from obscurity to become a hero among heroes. One hundred and twenty survivors owe their lives to him as he drove his pickup truck in and out of the deadly chaos at the party ground in Re’im. In the film, nearly six months later, we revisit Oz and find him deeply immersed in that fateful day. He relives each moment through his close relationships with the survivors he calls “my children.” This film follows Oz’s dual journey: his external journey among the survivors and his inner journey since that day. Once an ordinary man, Oz has become a national figure. As we delve into his soul, it becomes clear that he has embraced his new identity as a hero. Living on an old, isolated farm in the Gaza Envelope with his family, Oz embodies the “local cowboy” in both appearance and spirit. Since October 7, 2023, he has dedicated himself entirely to being “Everybody’s Oz.” His authentic and touching demeanor has given new meaning to his life. He meets regularly with the survivors, who admire him and organize “Gratitude Events” in his honor. Recently, he traveled to the USA for a lecture tour to Jewish communities.
