





GENLUX MAGAZINE, Southern California’s leading regional luxury magazine, celebrated their issue release party with stunning cover girl Dita Von Teese at the Luxe Hotel on super exclusive Rodeo Drive.
Lots of celebrities and VIPs were in attendance such as Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Nikki Sixx and his wife Courtney Bingham-Sixx, recording artist Ricky Rebel and many others.
Actor Shawn Carter Peterson, who has acted in countless commercials attended the event, with his beautiful wife, songstress Sy Smith, who was featured in this issue. She performed at GENLUX’s Chris Botti concert on Rodeo Drive this past September.

Dressed in her own designs from head to toe with the exception of an LV clutch and her signature Christian Louboutins, style icon Von Teese said “I’m excited to be back on the cover of GENLUX.” As to what she’s most passionate about she said,”I’m very active in supporting AIDS charities such as AMFAR.”
“Dita is a good friend and the epitome of luxury. She is the essence of beauty and glamour,” said Rebel.
“She is the queen of retro and I wanna be just like her when I grow up,” said O’Keefe of Von Teese.
Actress Faith Picozzi said, “I love Dita Von Teese and I grew up in a showbiz family, so I’m all about this stuff. My mom was a showgirl and my aunt is Melinda, the First Lady of Magic!”
“Dita has such great style,” said Bingham-Sixx, who brings her own style with her wonderful blog http://www.how2girl.com/ Ever the do-it-yourself guru, Bingham-Sixx did her own hair and makeup. She also hosts her How2Girl Radio on iHeartRadio.
“Dita is one of my favorite models and has been on the cover of our magazine the most,” said creative director and photo editor Stephen Kamifuji. “She was a three time cover girl for our magazine. And we’re teamed up with the Luxe Hotel as well as the wonderful SIRCUIT® SKIN COSMECEUTICALS and the amazing diamonds of Margot McKinney,” he added.
“It’s absolutely magnificent having this wonderful event with Dita at the magical penthouse of the Luxe Hotel, which is so iconic as it’s the only hotel on Rodeo Drive, so it’s definitely fabulous,” said Bryna Makowka, associate publisher of GENLUX.
Many members of the fashion elite were there. “I shot Dita a few years ago and it’s a pleasure to be here. The folks at GENLUX are great and always want to support them too,” said Luigi Irauzqui, International Style Editor of Harper’s Bazaar Interiors.
As for where he sees fashion and interior design going, Irauzqui, an effortlessly stylish Peruvian native had this to say,” Lifestyle encompasses everything now. Everything has merged together, be it what style your home furnishings are, where you travel to, the cigars you smoke, the wine you drink and of course, what you wear.”
“Dita has great style, so I had to check it out,” said Jacob Taylor, the designer of Patriarch Shoes, a really high end, but super cool line of shoes. “My shoes are a hybrid of sneakers and classy dress shoes. There is a strong European influence to these shoes. It’s east meets west. Upscale meets casual,” he added.
