The all new Smart Store sits on the 2nd floor above True Foods in the Santa Monica Place building at 395 Santa Monica Place, where for the rest of the week they will be holding a free promotional event open to the public. The new Smart “pop-up” dealership, a branch of Daimler, AG, will be offering live entertainment, free gourmet coffees and test drives of the new Smart Electric Drive from now until Sunday, April 28th. The car is said to be the most affordable electric car being listed at $25,000 for the coupe version and $28,000 for the Cabriolet. Arrive between 10am and 7pm until saturday or 11am to 7pm on Sun to get a taste of the action. Those who showed up this past Sunday or Monday got a chance to see 5-time Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Skylar Grey perform songs from her new album Don’t Look Down (available November 9th)
Arrive promptly and you might even find some delectable hors d’oeuvres, I had the opportunity to get a taste of some of the most brilliant White Chocolate and Toasted Rosemary Scones followed by Strawberries with Hibiscus Glaze topped with Grapefruit Zest, served by none other than Chef CJ Jacobson of Bravo’s Top Chef. The Chef will soon have a grand opening of his own where he will will present Girasol, his new restaurant set to open it’s doors in Studio City just in time for summer.
Come on Wednesday 4/24 between 10am and 1pm to have a good old fashioned LA brunch with Sven & Knuckles of Bravo’s Top Chef and Chef Lee Anne Wong of Cooking Channel’s Food Crawl, an afternoon that’s sure to be a delight. And you can end the week on Sunday the 28th with a fashion trunk show hosted by Malibu’s Winnie & Kat from 4pm to 8pm
