Accomplished actress Leni Rico’s star is really rising in Hollywood. She is usually on set, at an audition or callback. This in demand actress has a number of upcoming projects in the works such as the feature film City Limits, where she will play Myra opposite Bai Ling and Eric Etebari. She will play the role of Gloria in Who killed Jimmy Gumdrops, a feature film by Johnny Williams. She also recently played the lead role of powerful Princess Anai in Glory in Egypt alongside Escalante Lundy and director Michael Simmons. She will also star in Simmons’ upcoming Western. She is also playing the lead role of Sarah in the poignant romantic film Sarah and Eddie. Leni is also starring in Way of the Urban Soul as the lead opposite Lydia Cornell as well as Psychic Vision with David Fernandez. If that wasn’t enough, she’s acting in Revelations starring Eric Roberts and Emilio Roso as well as Love is All You Need with Ana Ortiz, Briana Evigan and Elisabeth Röhm.

Leni has an international, ethnically ambiguous look and even starred in an Iranian film called For the Birds. This working actress was one of the principals in the gripping award-winning short film and had the opportunity to work with some noted Iranian-American actors. “It was a great experience. What a professional cast and crew with such accomplished Iranian actors and behind the scenes professionals. And it was based on a very sad, real life story. I also got to learn a bit of Farsi from the cast and crew on set,” said Leni.

She also just signed with prominent agency Avant Artists for representation, so I know we’ll be seeing a lot more of her at the movies and on TV. The sky is the limit for this talented actress. This beautiful performer was a professional basketball player for over a decade in her native country of Spain. Born to act, Leni first started performing as a child in small neighborhood plays. Though she loved playing basketball professionally, her true passion was and will always be acting. Once she made the choice to go into acting full-time, she enrolled in the best acting, modeling and dancing schools in southern Spain. She soon started rapidly booking roles in film and pilots. On a trip to Miami, she booked a role in a soap opera and she seriously thought about pursuing her acting career in the states. Soon she moved to LA and the rest they say is history. Leni is acting on stage every Sunday at 9:30pm for the next four weeks in the popular play, “The Dark Side of the Moon” at the Next Stage Theater in Hollywood.
