EXPERIENCE MAGAZINE Attends VICEROY L’ERMITAGE BEVERLY HILLS for DineLA 2017

Los Angeles, CA (January 2017) – On the first night of dineL.A., Friday the 13th, THE EXPERIENCE MAGAZINE was invited to attend VICEROY L’ERMITAGE BEVERLY HILLS, Avec Nous restaurant. We were invited by Michael Moon, the restaurant manager. On this night it was quiet, discreet and very private. Michael did explain that it is usually a lot busier and with celeb guests stopping by more frequently. The dining room is elegant with the pop music being played at a great volume so you can talk easily. We sampled the dineL.A. dinner menu.

We started out with a very nice glass of cabernet, Yountville Wine Co., with the bottle which was opened at the table. It was was from the Napa valley.

The first course was a freshly made tomato soup made from California heirloom tomatoes. You could taste the variety of blended tomatoes without any spices or salt. It came with some grilled bread and the soup had just the right amount of cream added for flavor.

For the main course we had the wild grilled scottish salmon. Chef Roger Thomas grilled it to perfection. The main course came with a crispy kale chip, for flavor and freekeh rice which has some wonderful texture and spiced just right. For dessert you had the option of a cheese plate instead of the usual pastry. The cheese plate had cloth cheddar, Ossau Iraty (sheep’s cheese), norbet, goat cheese, blanched almonds, fig paste and it went good with the rest of our wine. We recommend the restaurant for a great dineL.A. experience.
