The Experience Magazine recently attended a one night only performance of the avant garde synth band LEX at the Los Angeles Theatre Center in downtown Los Angeles. LEX is a band of women.

The members of LEX are ALEXIS (vocals, synthesizers), LP (synthesizers), LICIA (bass, synthesizers) and J (drums).they create a raw analog sound.
The analogue vintage synthesizers create a unique sound that echoes the 1980’s but stays in 2015. Alexis is stunning and dramatic. The band makes many costume changes and there is a hint of sexuality with the revealing body colored outfits. The Zamora Sisters designed the costumes. They had a sexy sci fi look to them. Licia on bass plays thick groves. She’s a great bass player. She has good timing. Her synth sounds add a layer of sound to the quartets pop sound. J on drums balances a live trap set with electronic drum triggers. The lighting show was created by Martin Phillips. He’s the same lighting designer that designed Daft Punks last tour. The lighting for the showcase was excellent. There were many different looks and it created an ethereal atmosphere.
