SEPT 12, 2013 – One event that you definitely can’t miss this year will be Macy’s Glamorama, taking place on Thursday September 12th at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. For 30 years, the event has brought fashion, music and philanthropy together to benefit the fight against childhood illness, cancer and HIV/AIDS with almost $41 million raised. This years event will include live performances by The Backstreet Boys, The Summer Set and Cirque Du Soleil with a fashion show featuring designers Calvin Klein, Diesel, Max Mara and more.
This years event will benefit the AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS. The agency was founded in 1982 and also operates APLA Dental Services’ main and mobile clinics, providing care in under-served areas across Los Angeles county, as well as four Necessities of Life Program (NOLP) food pantry locations around Los Angeles and, in collaboration with five other organizations, across the U.S.
