On Thursday, December 18th at the ultra glamorous Andor’e Salon located on swanky Rodeo Drive, highly regarded hair stylist Gary Madatyan and esteemed celebrity couture designer Sonia ÉTÉ put their hearts and their creative talents to together for Nuit Divine, an exquisite evening of glamour, style and couture. ÉTÉ is also the founder of the highly regarded Academy of Couture Art. “It’s great to have this event after building my academy for nine years,” she said. “It’s the only couture school in the country. We rank 23rd in the world and we’ve only been around for 9 years.” As for having her academy in Beverly Hills as opposed to downtown LA, ÉTÉ responded without skipping a beat,”It looks like an atelier and in Beverly Hills, students can get the best training about couture fashion. Beverly Hills is all about luxury and couture.” “It was amazing seeing all of Sonia’s great designs in my salon,” said Madatyan. “I feel like Hollywood royalty wearing Sonia’s designs and it’s as comfortable as it is stunning,” said actress Jade Harlow (The Bay, Youthful Daze, Days of Our Lives), who is quite the fashionista herself. This event was hosted by Oskar Rivera, who did an amazing job and looked dapper in a fabulous suit. Celebrities, fashionistas, and highly regarded members of the press came out to support American couture and Couture Guild international’s mission, which gives access to higher education in Couture Fashion to deserving American talents in need of financial support through scholarships and public awareness in a very artistic, yet competitive field. Sponsors for the event were Andor’e Salon, The Academy of Couture Art as well as Sonia Kim, Moreno BHLV, Rodeo Surgical Art, U4RIK Tequila, Nailbar Beauty Lounge, Oscar Rivera Productions, Isabella Couture, Dose of Color, Viva Glam Magazine, and Elaine Badro.
